W - Word of God Proclaimed
The accurate and careful preaching and teaching of God's Word is essential in transforming individuals to live Christ-centered lives. "The Word of God is living, active and more powerful than any two edged sword." (Hebrews 4:12)
O - Outreach To Our Neighbors
According to Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan, we are responsible for helping to meet the spiritual and physical needs of individuals we encounter daily. This begins with evangelism that is culturally relevant. "I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." (John 4:35)
R - Relationships Grown (Nurtured) in Biblical Community
Jesus promised that the identifying mark of His disciples would be their love one for another. We believe that biblical fellowship best occurs in the environment of small group. "Love one another deeply, from the heart." (I Pet. 1:22)
S - Servant Development and Training
Fully devoted followers of Christ mature as they recognize their spiritual giftedness and exercise those gifts in service to God. The church's role is to assist the believer in identifying gifts, training in righteousness and equipping for the work of ministry. "The greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves." (Luke 22:26)
H - Holiness in Word and Deed
Through the work of the Spirit of God each believer is being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. We seek to provide accountability and encouragement to our brothers and sisters in Christ to produce lives of integrity. "But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do..." (I Pet. 1:15)
I - International Vision and Mission
God so loved the world. As a church, our opportunity is the strategic and aggressive use of the resources God entrusts to us to impact the globe with the Gospel of Christ. "...even to the remotest part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
P - Prayer: Personal and Corporate
Jesus modeled the importance of prayer to His church. Our utter dependence on God's power and sustenance is reflected in our prayer lives as individuals and as a church. "...one of His disciples said to Him, Lord, teach us to pray..." (Luke 11:1)
