The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Light of the World, the Lamb of God, Living Water, and the Bread of Life. Jesus himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” If we are to know what God the Father is like, we must know His son first. Jesus Christ reflects the character, the love, and the holiness of God the Father. And we can know Jesus by first believing and accepting that He paid a great price—His life—in order to bring us into a right relationship with God. You can take this step of faith through a simple prayer reflecting your desire for Jesus Christ to be your Savior and to change your life. No special religious words are needed—only an honest heart. You can pray something like this: 

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I believe You died for my sin, and only through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day on I will follow You by trying to live a life that pleases You. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen.
