Our latest Common Ground Movie Night was held on May 2. The evening began with greetings and prayer followed by a dinner of burgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies and of course, what’s a movie without popcorn? The featured film was Glory Road, a true story based on an obscure Texas college in the 60s and its pursuit of respect, on and off the court. The film gave a comprehensive look at the complexities of our society and the courage of the coaches and team to work through those challenges. After the movie, a stimulating question and answer period was held.
