Forever Touched ~ Significant Women in Jesus’ Life
“ Imagine walking with Jesus, sharing meals with Him, supporting and caring for Him. Delve into the lives of six amazing women in Jesus’ inner circle. Clearly, Jesus touched their hearts and changed their lives forever, as He does ours.”* (*from the Serendipity House website) This study by Gene and Elaine Getz is part of their Women of Purpose series.
FALL 2008 STUDIES
(September 10/11 ~ December 3/4)
Wednesday Evenings, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy ~ shows how individuals can live with integrity in today's self-absorbed society. Join Beth Moore in a faith-building study of prophecy and learn how to shine for Christ in our modern culture. Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures—to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats—today's believers face many of the same trials. (year-long study)
A Woman's Walk with God, Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit leads women to a deeper understanding of what it means to cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in their lives. This study will help you discover the attitudes of love, joy and peace, the actions of patience, kindness and goodness, and the disciplines of faithfulness, gentleness, and selfcontrol. (Author: Elizabeth George)
Thursday Mornings, 9:30-11:30 a.m. (Testimonies and Fellowship from 9:30-10:00 a.m.)
Stepping Up: A Journey through the Psalms of Ascent ~ This Beth Moore study is an in-depth look at Psalms 120-134. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 Psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us.
Sacred Parenting helps you look at parenting from a different perspective. It shows how God can baptize dirty diapers, toddlers’ tantrums, and teenagers’ silence in order to transform us into people who reflect the image of Christ. (Author: Gary Thomas)
Introduction to Apologetics is a great follow-up for those who have taken the Truth Project study. Students will be able to better answer the challenges of the many worldviews of today’s culture (Ravi Zacharias Ministries).
After the Boxes are Unpacked: Moving On After Moving In ~ Relocating can be a traumatic event, especially
for women. Those who are moving will find this book as valuable and as important as packing tape. With true stories, ingenious insights, and helpful hints, women can transition smoothly and get on with their lives (by Susan Miller).
Peacemaking Women: Biblical Hope for Resolving Conflict ~ Your friends add a lot to your life—but what do you do when things go wrong? In Peacemaking Women, Tara Barthel and Judy Dabler show you how to avoid gossip, bitterness, and spiteful actions as you look for resolutions that demonstrate Christ to believers and unbelievers alike.
A Study of Hebrews ~ A very in-depth study of the New Testament book (similar to BSF). You’ll discover its meaning and how you are to apply what you learn as a Christian (Disciplers study).
Spiritual Gifts ~ Really discover what gifts the Lord has given you as a Christian and how to use them for His glory.
