The Baby Dedication service is the parents’ opportunity to promise to train and guide their child so as to lead him to a personal, saving knowledge of Christ. Jesus’ words in Mark 10:14, Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these, clearly indicates that children are to be given opportunity to be exposed to Jesus Christ and the truth of the gospel; baby dedication presents that first step.

Baby Dedication services are held at Hudson Community Chapel three to four times a year. A meeting for parents is held on a week-night preceding the dedication. A detailed explanation of baby dedication is presented, and parents are free to ask any questions they may have.

The Baby Dedication Service is designed for children two and under.

NOTE: Baby Dedication is not the same as baptism; HCC does not baptize babies and toddlers since they are not able to make decisions about repentance and salvation. The Bible makes it clear that a person should repent and believe before being baptized.
