"Purpose Driven Moms”

Living Life by God's Plan

All programs are 9:15 -11:15 a.m.
The second Tuesday of the month

November 11

Finding the "Me" in Mom
Chrisi Thompson

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

We’re moms. And by the very nature of that incredible blessing, it is very easy for us to get lost in that role. Chrisi will lead a discussion about moms as more. We’re individuals, wives, daughters, sisters, friends, and unique children of God.

December 9
Family Dynamics & Sibling Rivalry
Tim King, PhD

”Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9

Ahh... jealously, favoritism, competition and the arguments and tattling that accompany them. These are normal family dynamics. But every mom wishes they weren’t, especially during the holiday season. Tim will provide guidance and survival tips that’ll make sibling “situations” easier to handle.

January 13
Inspiration, Mototivation, Perspiration!
Health & Fitness for Women
Maureen Zappala

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

With great energy and animation, Maureen uses humor, scripture and anecdotes from real life to challenge us to live a more God-focused life. She will discuss fitness and women’s health, reminding us that our bodies are temples, and will encourage us to honor God with our bodies, so we can honor Him with our hearts.

February 10
The Birds and The Bees: What to Say & When to Say It
Jayne Gurley, Barb Colledge, and Barb Knabe

“Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

While sexuality is a wonderful God-given gift, introducing and explaining the topic to our children is often difficult. Our panel of Mom Experts will help guide you through the topics of purity, modesty, and how to have age-appropriate discussions about sex, love, what the Bible says, how to set a good example and more.

March 10
Marriage Glue: God’s Guide to Sticking Together
Pastor Paul and Patti Endrei

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Ephesians 4:2

Committed to helping people connect with God in every area, the Endreis will discuss their book on marriage, Glue: Sticking Power for Lifelong Marriages. The purpose and passion of their presentation is to help you connect or reconnect with your soul mate to experience God's best in your marriage.

April 14
Give me Strength: Your Relationship with God
Ingrid Monteith, PhD

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

Our personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important one in our lives, yet many times, we do little to nurture, build, or strengthen this bond. Ingrid will guide us in keeping our relationship with Christ on track and help us to find support and foundation for our daily lives in our faith.
